Ted Cruz gain denied global warming as an issue on Late Night with Seth Meyers .

“I thought you were coming around on global warming,” remarked Seth Meyers. He asked Cruz, “Hottest year on record, But you’re not there right?”

Ted Cruz responded with his party line,

“It’s interesting you say that as I just came back from New Hampshire, where there’s snow and ice everywhere, and my view actually is simple. Debates on this should follow science, and should follow data, and many of the alarmists on global warming, they got a problem because the science just doesn’t back them up, and in particular Satellite data demonstrate for the last 17 years there’s been zero warming. None whatsoever. It’s why, remember how it used to be called global warming, and then magically the theory changed to climate change? The reason is, it wasn’t warming, but the computer models still say it is, except the satellites show it’s not.”

Cruz is Out of Touch with the reality of global warming and climate change. To understand climate change one needs to look at all the data, instead of pulling out only the subset of data that agrees with one’s own ideology. He is not an appropriate leader of a nation of more than 300 million citizens who would suffer the consequences of his inaction on an issue he denies exists.
