The simple body test that proves the theory of evolution
Many body parts are not there because you need them. Instead they’re there because your ancestors did, such as the palamaris longus (pictured), a video from Washington’s Vox explains.

Bill would allow teachers to promote creationism
A Mississippi lawmaker wants to strengthen a public school teacher’s ability to express beliefs that challenge climate change and evolution, among other subjects. Rep. Mark Formby, R-Picayune, said a constituent told him a teacher had been questioned after bringing up the theory of creationism, or the religious belief that the universe originated from acts of divine creation.
Your Neanderthal DNA may help you fight disease, and give you allergies
If you sneeze when flowers bloom in the spring and tear up in the presence of a cat, your Neanderthal DNA may be to blame.

Political ignorance and bombing Agrabah
A recent survey finds that 30% of Republicans and 19% of Democrats support bombing the fictional nation of Agrabah. The result is consistent with much other data showing widespread political ignorance.

More Bogus Science from Casey Luskin of the Discovery Institute
Citing sections of a recent publication in Cell1 , Casey Luskin of the Discovery Institute claims to have new evidence that confirms the predictions of their Intelligent Design hypothesis. Luskin has done this in the past when researchers have found new functions in DNA.
The promoters of ID claim that their hypothesis predicts the discovery of new functionality and complexity in DNA. They claim this points to a designer and that Darwin was wrong. Really? Neither Darwin, nor any other expert on evolution, nor the theory of evolution has ever claimed that we have discovered all the complexity in DNA, and that we would not discover new codons that determine how proteins and mRNA are regulated. Darwin actually predicted the existence of genetic material such as DNA would be required for natural selection to work.
Discovery Institute – a Pseudoscience Incubator
Discovery Institute a public policy think tank based in Seattle, Washington, best known for its advocacy of the pseudoscience “intelligent design” (ID), claims ID is a scientific theory that concludes certain features of the universe and living things are best explained by an intelligent cause, not an undirected process such as natural selection.
They claim that certain natural objects are too complex and must arise from an intelligent action. The argument is that since a watch is too complicated to arise naturally and requires a designer, than so to must a living cell need a designer. Most of us, with the exception of the Discovery Institute and Republican presidential candidates, have realized early in our development that populations of watches do not have genetic material nor do they reproduce.
Evolution Controversy
The level of support for evolution is extremely high within the scientific community and in academia, with 95% of scientists supporting evolution. An overwhelming majority of the scientific community accepts evolution as the dominant scientific theory of biological diversity.
Christine O’Donnell is Way Out of Touch with Reality
“Evolution is a myth… Why aren’t monkeys still evolving into humans?”
Christine O’Donnell gets an Out of Touch with Reality post for her remarkable statements about aids, evolution, witchcraft, cross-breeding, masturbation.. some of which is listed here. She is listed her because she persuaded enough voters with her alternative reality to win a primary. Which is a little disturbing. O’Donnell graduated from Moorestown High School in 1987. She attended Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU) beginning in 1987, initially majoring in theater, but later changing to English literature with a concentration in communications. O’Donnell later told The New York Times she had had three senior years of college. (more…)
Michele Bachmann is Out of Touch
Michele Marie Bachmann receives an Out of Touch with Reality posting for her statements on intelleigent design. Michele is a former member of the United States House of Representatives, who represented Minnesota’s 6th congressional district. Michele Bachmann is skeptical of evolution and said students should be taught the theory of intelligent design.
“I support intelligent design,” Bachmann told reporters in New Orleans following her speech to the Republican Leadership Conference. “What I support is putting all science on the table and then letting students decide. I don’t think it’s a good idea for government to come down on one side of scientific issue or another, when there is reasonable doubt on both sides.”
About global warming at the Republican Convention:
“The big thing we are working on now is the global warming hoax. It’s all voodoo, nonsense, hokum, a hoax,”
