Disarming Realities: As Gun Sales Soar, Gun Crimes Plummet

A couple of new studies reveal the gun-control hypesters’ worst nightmare…more people are buying firearms, while firearm-related homicides and suicides are steadily diminishing. What crackpots came up with these conclusions? One set of statistics was compiled by the U.S. Department of Justice. The other was reported by the Pew Research Center. Florida Gov. Rick Scott is Out of Touch with Reality

rick_scottRichard “Rick” Lynn Scott receives an Out of Touch with Reality post for his policy of not allowing Florida Officials to use the terms ‘climate change’. We do give him credit for his  December 2012 plan to encourage students to pursue majors in engineering and science by reducing tuition for some majors. We hope this will end up compensating for his ignorance of science.

Rep. Senator Rand Paul is Out of Touch with Reality

Republican Sen. Rand Paul gets an Out of Touch post for his statement in an interview he gave last month to CNBC:

“I’ve heard many tragic cases of walking, talking normal children who wound up with profound mental disorders after vaccines.”

Really, he’s heard of many tragic cases? We cannot excuse this big of a distortion of the facts. He is also standing by his statement that most vaccinations should be “voluntary,” telling CNBC that it is a parent’s choice. Being a doctor he knows better about vaccines.

Florida officials solve ‘Climate Change’ by banning it

According to a report in the Florida Miami Herald by the Florida Center for Investigative Reporting, officials at the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, DEP, claim they were told not to use the terms ‘climate change’ or ‘global warming’ in official communications, emails, or reports.

The policy was confirmed by other ex-employees, and neither the current DEP director Scott Steverson, nor ex-director Herschel Vinyard Jr. would comment on the issue.   They did not deny the policy which reportedly went into effect after Florida Governor Rick Scott took office. (more…)

Senator Inhofe proves climate change is not man made

inhofe_snowballSen. James Inhofe of Oklahoma receives our most Out of Touch with Reality post for believing he disproved that climate change is manmade by bringing a snow ball to congress. He states in his book The Greatest Hoax: How the Global Warming Conspiracy Threatens Your Future, where he makes his claim that human influenced climate change is impossible because “God’s still up there.” Inhofe cited Genesis 8:22 to claim that it is “outrageous” and arrogant for people to believe human beings are “able to change what He is doing in the climate.” (more…)

Michele Bachmann is Out of Touch

BachmannMichele Marie Bachmann receives an Out of Touch with Reality posting for her statements on intelleigent design.  Michele is a former member of the United States House of Representatives, who represented Minnesota’s 6th congressional district. Michele Bachmann is skeptical of evolution and said students should be taught the theory of intelligent design.

“I support intelligent design,” Bachmann told reporters in New Orleans following her speech to the Republican Leadership Conference. “What I support is putting all science on the table and then letting students decide. I don’t think it’s a good idea for government to come down on one side of scientific issue or another, when there is reasonable doubt on both sides.”

About global warming at the Republican Convention:

“The big thing we are working on now is the global warming hoax. It’s all voodoo, nonsense, hokum, a hoax,”
